The childhood beauty ‘Barbie’ is finally coming on screens this July and Greta Gerwig, the director makes it to the tee. The movie is a multi-starrer and will bring back the memories of the iconic doll every girl ever desired. Through the years Barbie has gone through lots of changes and variations of Barbie’s and Ken’s have been sold around the globe. The lead actress Margot Robbie took us on a tour inside the sets of ‘Barbie’ and gave us a live-action of how the movie was brought to life.
The Infamous Closet
The Architectural Digest recently got inside the Barbie set and learned everything about the making of her house and her most highlighted feature was the fashion doll’s infamous closet.
Gerwig told the magazine that she remembered as a child “standing in Toys “R” Us, looking at Barbies with the plastic sheet [over the box] and everything, and you wanted to take it off and take everything apart and touch everything.”-according to The Hollywood Reporter.
When ‘Barbie’ comes into our head, we know that her everything was perfect and was put in a clear plastic wardrobe and her each outfit was pink and classy. Girls giving their dolls a whole fashion show and her everything was an epitome of perfection. Even Margot Robbie cant resist to take her fans inside the closet.
The actress also teased what audiences can expect to see when Barbie does her outfit changes in the film. “Each day, her outfit is already magically here in her wardrobe,” Robbie explained. “She opens the doors, all she needs to do is look at it, gives a spin, and then it’s on her body and she walks off, and her outfit for the next day is sitting in the wardrobe behind her.”- according to THR
Pink In Style
Ever since the doll came into existence everything she owned was pink. Pink became every girl’s favorite color as a kid. Giving an interesting insight about making the Barbie world look real, they made everything pink. With so much putting into style and close to reality that internationally they ran off fluorescent shade of Rosco paint.
The world ran off…Pink- exclaimed Margot.
