Japanese company KADOKAWA announced that the anime adaptation of “Made in Abyss” will receive a sequel. You can find a first teaser further down in this article.
Made in Abyss Season 3 or Season 2 Part 2
The sequel will directly follow the second season of “Made in Abyss”. So far, however, it is still unclear whether it will be a third season, a movie or an OVA. Also the details about the contributors to the production or a release date are still pending.
The second season of “Made in Abyss,” titled “Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun,” was directed by Masayuki Kojima (“Monster”) at Studio Kinema Citrus. Hideyuki Kurata penned the script, while Kazuchika Kise and Yuka Kuroda contributed character design. Kevin Penkin was responsible for the music.
Publisher LEONINE Anime will release the second season in two volumes on DVD and Blu-ray beginning March 31, 2023, with English language versions as well as the original Japanese audio with English subtitles. The first season is already available in stores.
