Kim Cattrall’s attachment to Sex and the City’s Samantha Jones

The ‘Glamorous’ actress opened up about what her ‘Sex and the City‘ past still means in her present life. “I don’t think I’ll ever say goodbye to Samantha,” Cattrall told Today. “She’s like a lot of other characters that I’ve done over the years. I get very emotionally attached and protective of my characters. She gave me so much, and I’m so appreciative of her.”

Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones is the oldest and most sexually confident of the foursome. Cattrall’s Samantha is an independent businesswoman with a career in public relations (PR). She is confident, strong, and extremely outspoken, and calls herself a “try-sexual” (meaning she’ll try anything once). Early on in the show, Samantha declares she has given up on relationships and has decided to just have sex “like a man”, that is: without emotions or feelings, and purely for physical gratification, however, every ‘SATC’ fans know her reel life friends became her soulmates.
