Ginny And Georgia Season 3: Release Date Predictions, Cast, And Everything We Already Know To This Date

Is there going to be a Ginny and Georgia Season 3 on Netflix?

Don't miss

We know that you all now waiting for Ginny and Georgia Season 3. Ginny and Georgia first hit Netflix in February last year. While receiving mixed reviews, its first season got a Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with 52 million households said to have watched it within the first 28 days of release.

That amounted to 381 million hours viewed globally, so Netflix quickly greenlit a second season. After dropping in January this year, it quickly topped the chart and held a spot for weeks.

Viewers are still binging both seasons, but they may be wondering: is there going to be a Ginny and Georgia Season 3 on Netflix?

Will There Be A Ginny And Georgia Season 3?

Ginny and Georgia Season 3 hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix… yet.

Despite the show’s success, and co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters describing it as a “phenomenal US success”, we’re still waiting on news of its renewal. Speaking to Deadline, Sarah Lampert – who works with showrunner Debra J. Fisher – said “If we were to get one”, Season 3 would look “really different.”

“You know what’s great? Netflix was really – I don’t want to say hands off – they were trusting of us with the story this season,” she said.

“My favorite thing about the show is that it is always evolving and changing, and because we touch on so many different tones within the show, we really get to sink into whichever tone we want to at the moment. So there’s a lot of freedom there.”

“I love surprising people, so I hope that cliffhanger at the end of Episode 10 was a big surprise, that’s what we were going for.”

However, Lampert confirmed that for the moment, “there’s been no talks with Netflix about Season 3.”

“They’re very regimented about how they do things. So there’s very much a strategy in place where I think we’ll drop it, and then we have to wait to see how it does and if we’re going to see Season 3 but I certainly hope we do because it’s going to be a wild ride,” she added.

Will There Be A Ginny And Georgia Season 3?

Netflix has not yet confirmed a Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia, but it would seem the streamer is likely to renew the series. Season 2 sat at the No. 1 spot on the Netflix Top 10 for four weeks straight, and, as of February 2023, it amassed more than 500 million hours viewed.

In January, creator Sarah Lampert told Deadline that there had not yet been talks about a Season 3. “[Netflix is] very regimented about how they do things,” she said. “So there’s very much a strategy in place where I think we’ll drop it, and then we have to wait to see how it does and if we’re going to see Season 3 but I certainly hope we do because it’s going to be a wild ride.”

If there is a Season 3, she said, expect it to look “really different” from the previous two. “Because [Georgia] was a woman who was a superhero at what she did, and now she’s been caught,” Lampert told Deadline. “It’s almost like Superman got taken down. We’ll see if she can get out of this mess she’s found herself in.”

When Will Ginny And Georgia Season 3 Be Released?

The sooner Netflix renews the series, the sooner we can get new episodes. Season 2 was delayed by the COVID pandemic, but if the series is renewed within the next couple of months we could see new episodes as early as the beginning of 2024.

Ginny And Georgia Season 3

Ginny and Georgia season 3 may still boast a pretty large cast, so unless anything changes behind the scenes, fans can expect to see the following performers return to Wellsbury in season three:

  • Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller
  • Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller
  • Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller
  • Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker
  • Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker
  • Sara Waisglass as Maxine ‘Max’ Baker
  • Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph
  • Raymond Ablack as Joe
  • Mason Temple as Hunter Chen
  • Katie Douglas as Abby
  • Chelsea Clark as Norah
  • Jonathan Potts as Mr Gitten
  • Sabrina Grdevich as Cynthia Fuller
  • Colton Gobbo as Jordan
  • Connor Laidman as Zach
  • Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller
  • Rebecca Ablack as Padma
  • Tyssen Smith as Brodie
  • Daniel Beirne as Nick
  • Aaron Ashmore as Gil Timmins

And don’t forget the flashback cast too for the Ginny and Georgia season 3, led by Nikki Roumel and Kyle Bary as teenage Georgia Miller and teenage Zion Miller respectively.

By the sounds of it, Mitchell would be keen to get stuck into a third season as Zion. Speaking to Digital Spy about his season two experience, he said: “I loved it. It was phenomenal. I love every second I get to spend with this cast.

“Just getting to dive more into Zion, and to explore what his dynamics with his parents are like; what the co-parenting relationship with Georgia is like; getting to see him be there for Ginny in moments that matter. All of that was a joy to explore.”

When speaking of his Ginny and Georgia season 3 hopes, he added: “I’d love to see where things go with Simone. I think it’s always fun when you throw Georgia in the mix there, where you have those three together, and have them navigate this new dynamic that they exist in.”

So perhaps we’ll see more of Vinessa Antoine, who plays Simone… which can only mean one thing. More drama. Georgia was able to just about keep a lid on her jealousy, but chances are it won’t stay shut forever.

Sara Waisglass, aka MANG queen bee Max, has her hopes for season three. She told E!: “She’s a lover and she wants to be with as many people who will show her love as possible. But I think that love needs to come from her and I hope that that is something that she can learn.”

Judging by her TikTok, she’s got a sense of humor about how much hate Max is getting from the fans, so let’s hope she channels that into Max’s new adventures.

How Did Season 2 of Ginny And Georgia End?

Toward the end of Season 2, Marcus breaks up with Ginny after falling into a depressive episode. Although Ginny is heartbroken and initially angry, she later offers Marcus her support, telling him, “Even if we’re not together, I can be your friend.”

In the Season 2 finale, Georgia and Paul walk down the aisle and say “I do.” However, their fairytale wedding comes crashing down when the police burst in and shockingly arrest Georgia for the murder of Cynthia’s husband, Tom. Georgia secretly smothered Tom after Cynthia confided in her that she was ready for her husband—who had long been terminally ill and on life support—to no longer suffer. (Mind you, this wasn’t Georgia’s first murder.) The arrest happened shortly after private investigator Gabriel learned from his boyfriend that Georgia was in the room when Tom died.

Unbeknownst to Georgia, Austin witnessed Tom’s death. “But I didn’t tell anyone,” Austin cries to a shocked Ginny as they watch their mom get taken away in a police car.

Now, we all can wait for Ginny and Georgia Season 3.
