Extracurricular Season 2 Release Date

As of now, Netflix has not officially renewed “Extracurricular” for a second season. The K-series was released on April 29, 2020, but its renewal status remains unknown at the moment. Netflix typically takes at least a month to decide whether to renew a show or not, and delays in renewal are not uncommon due to the vast number of titles on the platform.

It’s worth noting that many Korean shows are often planned for one season only, so despite the success of “Extracurricular,” there is a possibility that a second season might not happen. Fans should keep an eye out for any updates or announcements from Netflix regarding the future of the series.

Extracurricular Season 2 Plot

“Extracurricular” revolves around Ji-soo, a high-achieving high school student leading a double life to pursue his dream of attending university. To support his aspirations, Ji-soo secretly works as a security service provider for an illegal prostitution business. The situation takes a dark turn when Gyu-ri discovers Ji-soo’s secret and blackmails him. Season 1 ends in a gripping cliffhanger as Ki-tae brutally stabs Ji-soo multiple times, leaving him in a precarious and bloody situation with Min-hee’s phone covered in blood in his possession.

Detective Lee starts suspecting Ji-soo and the members of the Social Issues Research club for their potential involvement in illegal activities, despite Mr. Cho vouching for Ji-soo’s character and describing him as a good student. Towards the conclusion of season 1, the detective visits Ji-soo’s vacant apartment and finds traces of blood, indicating that more trouble awaits Ji-soo if the show gets renewed for a second season. The uncertainties surrounding Ji-soo’s fate and the unfolding mysteries make the prospect of a potential season 2 even more intriguing.
