Burn The House Down is the newest Japanese drama in the thriller and revenge drama series with a stellar cast such as Kie Kitano, Yuri Tsunematsu, Mei Nagano, Asuka Kudo, Kyoka Suzuki, and Taishi Nakagawa in the major roles. After Makiko gets exposed, she got hateful comments which became her obsession, and trying a way to figure it out meanwhile, Shinji who is the responsible son but never got appreciated by her own mother but still, he tries hard to reframe everything.

After the arrest of Kiichi, Anzu doesn’t believe that Kiichi is the real criminal so goes to Makiko with Yuzu. Makiko confessed that when she arrived on that day of the fire incident, she went to Mitarai’s house to return everything she stole from the house. She realized that she forgot the cardigan but due to the fire, she never got a chance to return it.

Shinji was also present there so he said that not his mother or brother he was responsible for the fire that day. He arrived at Mitarai’s house to return the cardigan which was found at his house but he saw food in the kitchen and due to turning to heat up, which caught fire. And due to panic, he runs from there and when Kiichi finds out that Shinji was responsible for that he takes the blame.

After apologizing to the sister and regrets not confessing sooner. So, Anzu and Yuzu take Shinji to Satsuki to apologize on her knees, as she had to take the blame on her which she didn’t commit.

Shinji was not punished for that because he was under the age of 16, but Osamu gave him a chance to continue working there due to a shortage of staff.
