In Season 5 of the show, the Armed Detective Agency is still on the run from the Hunting Dogs. Detective Ranpo Edogawa plans to prove the Agency’s innocence by capturing Kamui, leader of the Decay of the Angel. Ranpo along with Atsushi Nakajima must convince Fukuchi, the captain of the Hunting Dogs of their innocence.
In the finale of Season 5, Teruko stabs Fukuchi, as it is the only way to save the agency. The episode ends with Atsushi and Akutagawa in a battle with a mysterious being who is in control of the captain’s time-altering sword. After this epic finale, one thing is for certain, and that is the animated version of the series is unlikely to return anytime soon.
