Back in October last year, we reported that Shinichi Ishizuka’s manga series “Blue Giant” inspired an anime movie. However, its start had to be postponed. A new visual was unveiled and the most important members of the production team were announced.
Blue Giant Anime Movie
As originally planned, the film will not be released in Japanese cinemas until February 17, 2023. Yuzuru Tachikawa (including Death Parade, Mob Psycho 100, Deca-Dence) will direct at STUDIO NUT. Number 8, editor of the manga series “Blue Giant”, takes care of the screenplay, while TOHO Animation takes care of the distribution of the film.
Blue Giant: Visual
The start of the franchise was marked by the manga “Blue Giant”, which was published in Japan between 2013 and 2016 and completed in a total of ten volumes. The sequel to the manga “Blue Giant Supreme” started in September 2016 and ended, also after ten volumes, in April 2020. Another successor was launched in May 2020 and listens to the title “Blue Giant Explorer”. So far, five volumes are available.
Blue Giant: Action
Dai Miyamoto is in his senior year of high school. He plays basketball, works part-time at a gas station and lives alone with his father and little sister. An average teenager. But for many years he has also been a passionate jazz fan – a somewhat unusual hobby for a boy these days. He rehearses tirelessly with his saxophone – whenever and wherever. Dai’s goal, he wants to become a giant of jazz music. All his friends find his passion rather uncool.
The first performances – anything but encouraging, but Dai sticks to his dream and does not give up!
