Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers have finally settled their divorce after three years since Chambers filed. A reliable source has confirmed that on Tuesday, the former couple reached an agreement that is expected to be officially approved by a judge soon.
Armie Hammer, 36, and Elizabeth Chambers, 40, tied the knot in May 2010 and have two children together: Harper, 8, and Ford Douglas Amand, 6.
According to a court document called the Declaration of Default, obtained by PEOPLE, it was revealed that “the parties have reached a written agreement concerning their property and their rights within the marriage or domestic partnership, including support.” The document further states that the couple is seeking the court’s approval of the agreement.
Armie Hammer’s Divorce Settlement and Allegations
TMZ was the first to report the news of Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers’ settlement in their divorce proceedings. Chambers initially filed for divorce in July 2020 after being married for 10 years. The couple made identical statements on social media at the time, expressing their decision to end their marriage while emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their children and maintaining a close friendship.
Following the announcement of their separation, Hammer faced serious allegations, including accusations of sexual assault, which had a significant impact on his acting career. However, in May, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue sexual assault charges in one case due to insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Armie Hammer’s Interview Responses and Elizabeth Chambers’ Support
Armie Hammer, known for his role in the film “Call Me By Your Name” and last seen in the 2022 movie “Death on the Nile,” broke his silence in an interview with Air Mail published in February regarding the series of abuse allegations against him. While denying any criminal wrongdoing, Hammer acknowledged being emotionally abusive in past relationships.
In a separate interview with Elle magazine in February, Elizabeth Chambers, Hammer’s ex-wife, expressed her continued support for him. She stated that her sole wish was for Hammer to be sober, healthy, and happy, which she believed he had achieved. Chambers also highlighted Hammer’s dedication and presence when it came to their children, emphasizing the importance of providing them with two caring parents. Her ongoing support aimed to facilitate a solid foundation for their children’s well-being.
