The AMC series The Walking Dead Season 11 will soon celebrate its grand finale. Will we even see Rick Grimes and his wife Michonne again in it? Here’s how it could happen.
- From October 3, the final part, the 11th season TWD can be seen on Disney+ in the stream.
- “The Walking Dead” is almost finished, only the final scene has not yet been determined.
- A post-credit scene would be perfect to introduce Rick and Michonne’s spin-off.
Although The Walking Dead season 11 has already been shot, one thing still seems to be undecided: the final scene of the AMC series.
Will it be a time jump like in the comics? Or will we even get a foretaste of the spin-off around Rick Grimes and Michonne?
Of course, TWD content head Scott M. Gimple is again mysterious when asked about it. In an interview with US magazine Entertainment Weekly. “Will there be a post-credit scene? All I can say is maybe. We’re planning some things, so maybe. Honestly, we’re working on some things right now. There are a couple of ways it could end.”
However, “The Walking Dead” universe has worked with a post-credit scene before to introduce the plot of a spin-off. “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” ended with a scene that showed a French laboratory where the undead likely originated. The same lab that Dr. Edwin Jenner mentioned in season 1 of TWD.
Meanwhile, we know that the spin-off around Daryl Dixon will be set in France and will probably pick up exactly this theme. Thus, a post-credit scene in the finale of “The Walking Dead” would be perfect for introducing the probably most hotly anticipated spin-off around Rick Grimes.
Showing Rick and Michonne again in the normal plot of part 3 of the 11th season of “The Walking Dead” would probably distract too much from the main storyline around the Commonwealth. So a post-credit scene would also be the easiest for the series creators to implement.
Of course, the spin-off “The Walking Dead: Dead City” could also be introduced, but ending the parent series with a scene about Rick Grimes would be so much more fitting, since the series also started with a Rick scene.
Part 3 of “The Walking Dead” Season 11 will start on October 2, 2022 in the U.S. on AMC. The final episode will air on November 20, 2022. You will see the new episodes again one day later in the streaming offer of Disney+.
The Walking Dead Season 11: Part 3 starts on Disney+ – then the series finale rises
Part 3 of the 11th season of “The Walking Dead” starts on Disney+. From October 3, a new episode will start weekly on the streaming service. Also, the series finale of “The Walking Dead” can be seen already on Disney+ from November 20, 2022.
The 11th season of “The Walking Dead” is starting its final third, bringing the final episode of the zombie series ever closer. On these dates, the final episodes of the series start.
That those who are dead live longer is an important basic rule in “The Walking Dead” that helps the living survive. After 11 seasons, however, the AMC series itself will probably be laid to rest: with the third part of the repeatedly paused last season, the final episodes of the hit series will premiere on Disney+.
The first episode of the last third of season 11 will start on October 3, 2022, and the remaining seven episodes will then go online on Disney+ at weekly intervals. Until November 21, 2022 – that’s when the big series finale of “The Walking Dead” is scheduled.
And even if the main narrative comes to an end, the TWD franchise is definitely not really dead in view of the spin-offs and sequels that have already.
