The Terminal List Season 2: Everything We Know

Don't miss

The military action thriller series “The Terminal List” was created by David DiGilio (of “Crossbones” fame). It is based on the first book in the ongoing “Terminal List” book series by American novelist and former Navy SEAL Jack Carr, which was published in 2018 and has the same title.

The plot of the show centers on Lt. Commander James Reece, a Navy SEAL platoon commander whose crew and loved ones are ruthlessly murdered one after the other. Reece decides to pursue revenge on everyone involved after realizing that their deaths were a result of a massive plot. He makes a list of these people on the back of one of his daughter’s drawings. He crosses their names off the list after killing them.

The reviews for “The Terminal List” were conflicting after its debut. While the battle scenes, performances, and nonstop action received plaudits, several critics felt the plot was underwhelming. We’ve got you covered if you watched the first season and want to know if there will be a season 2.

Season 1 of “The Terminal List” debuted on Amazon Prime Video on July 1, 2022. It has eight episodes with runs between 50 and 66 minutes. This is all we know thus far about season 2.

The creation of a second season has not been confirmed by the show’s producers or Amazon Prime Video (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5, The Wheel of Time Season 2) officials. However, a few of the show’s creators have stated that they would like to produce future seasons. The Terminal List is the web adaptation of the first book of a series, as was already mentioned. As of June 2022, Carr had five books out: “The Terminal List,” “True Believer,” “Savage Son,” “The Devil’s Hand,” and “In the Blood.” Therefore, there is a ton of content for upcoming seasons.

When questioned about the show’s future in a June 2022 interview, the creative team acknowledged that they had already begun to make arrangements for it. One of the show’s directors, Antoine Fuqua, claimed that they had first started developing the show with a wider image in mind. DiGilio stated that each season’s blueprint was available. The only issue, he said, was that Carr wrote quickly, putting out a book every year, whereas TV episodes took a lot longer to make.

As James Reece on the program, Chris Pratt is one of the busiest and most marketable actors working in Hollywood right now. Despite the conflicting opinions, his presence in the project is certain to generate a lot of interest in it. The program will undoubtedly receive a second season if it proves to be successful. And audiences can anticipate the release of “The Terminal List” season 2 sometime in Q2 2024 if it is verified in the coming months.

The Terminal List Season 2 Cast: Who will be in it?

In addition to Pratt, the first season of “The Terminal List” also features Taylor Kitsch as Ben Edwards, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Riley Keough as Lauren Reece, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Lorraine Hartley, and Arlo Mertz as the title character (Lucy Reece). Along with Tyner Rushing, the cast also features Jai Courtney as Steven Horn, JD Pardo as Tony Liddel, Patrick Schwarzenegger as Donny Mitchell, and Marco Rodriguez as Marco Del Toro (Liz Riley).

There is little possibility that the characters played by Kitsch, Keough, Tripplehorn, Mertz, Courtney, and Schwarzenegger in season one of “The Terminal List” will return, with the possible exception of flashback sequences. If “True Believer” is any indication, the second season’s plot will most likely take place in a whole new location with a completely new cast. Raife, a buddy of Reece, was frequently mentioned in the first season. Additionally, he might make his debut in season 2. Although Katie Buranek isn’t as prominent a character in the second novel as she is in the first, Constance Wu will definitely return in her position.

The Terminal List Season 2 Plot: What can it be about?

Hartley kills herself in the “The Terminal List” season 1 finale, “Reclamation,” after understanding that her political career is ended. Reece discovers that Ben was the one who provided false information on Kahani with Katie’s assistance. Reece throws the list into the sea after killing Ben. It is strongly hinted that he will next travel to Mozambique.

The shared past of Reece and Raife might be explored in the upcoming season 2. Before the outside world starts seeking for him, Reece may spend a few months in Mozambique with Raife’s family. The only person who can stop a former Iraqi commando from causing havoc throughout Europe is Reece.
