Katee Sackhoff returns as Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian Season 3. Now the Disney+ star is talking about her role in the new episodes, which start in 2023.

  • Pedro Pascal and Katee Sackhoff are set to return for The Mandalorian Season 3 in early 2023.
  • Sackhoff plays the role of Bo-Katan Kryze, who has a desire to become the ruler of Mandalore.
  • The star now opens up about Bo-Katan’s journey in Season 3 of Disney+’s “Star Wars” series.

In February 2023, “The Mandalorian” season 3 will start streaming on Disney+. Not only Pedro Pascal returns in the new “ The Mandalorian ” episodes, Katee Sackhoff will also be on board again. The actress plays Bo-Katan Kryze, whom she previously voiced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

At the end of the second season, she helped Din Djarin (Pascal) save Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). Their goal was to reclaim the darksaber. Too bad Mando won it by beating Moff Gideon. This makes him the rightful ruler of Mandalore.

Fans remember that in “Star Wars Rebels” she accepted the dark sword from Sabine Wren without a fight. But now she seems to insist on Mandalorian custom that she must win it in battle.

“It raises questions, it makes you ask yourself, ‘What’s different? Why not this time?’ And that’s important,” Sackhoff explained in an interview with US magazine Entertainment Weekly . She further elaborates:

She’s still on that journey, you know, since the first time we met her when she was very young and impressionable. And she’s been evolving and growing ever since and figuring out who she is.

The question that now arises is whether Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze will become enemies or join forces to rebuild Mandalore. The Mandalorians’ homeworld has been destroyed by the Empire, so reuniting the people and making the homeworld habitable again is a tall order for both of them.

An official start date for “The Mandalorian” Season 3 has not yet been set. You can currently watch Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ ‘s What’s New. Andor launches in August 2022 and more Star Wars releases later this year to sweeten the wait.
