In Revenant Episode 12, After escaping from the clutches of her malevolent shadow, San-young rushes to her mother’s cafe. However, upon reuniting with her mother, Gyeong-mun senses something peculiar about her daughter’s behavior. Both Semi and Gyeong-mun are in shock, still recovering from the recent encounter with the evil spirit that nearly killed Gyeong-mun.

Hongsae and Hae-sang track down San-young at the cafe and inquire about the evil spirit. Hae-sang becomes curious about why she had warned them not to find the corpse, but San-young claims it was an unconscious utterance. Nevertheless, Hae-sang and Hongsae find her explanation unconvincing. As Hae-sang learns about his grandmother’s death, he confronts Chi-won, suspecting a connection between her demise and the malevolent spirit. He then shares his belief with Hongsae that the spirit purposefully led them to find certain objects and warns that they must investigate if Lee Hyangi has truly departed from San-young’s body.

The following day, San-young appears to care for her mother tenderly, but her mother’s puzzling question, “Who are you?”, raises concerns for Gyeong-mun, realizing that her daughter is not herself. It becomes apparent that Lee Hyangi has fully taken control of San-young’s body. Meanwhile, Hae-sang takes it upon himself to visit the locations where the evil spirit committed its heinous acts and systematically seals the objects one by one. During one of his visits to San-young’s grandmother’s place to secure an object, he faces an attack from Gyeong-mun, who reveals the startling truth about San-young’s possession.

San-young’s Dire Struggle for Control in Revenant

Hae-sang comes to a chilling realization that San-young has become the very shadow they were trying to stop, and the evil spirit now has complete control over her body. Gyeong-mun reveals that the evil spirit demanded her to kill Hae-sang in an attempt to save San-young from its clutches.

Meanwhile in Episode 12 of Revenant, Hongsae tracks down San-young and confronts the possessed entity. He quickly understands that it’s the malevolent spirit and demands it to depart from her. However, the possessed San-young cryptically says, “It’s over,” and walks away, leaving Hongsae bewildered.

Hongsae and Hae-sang stumble upon video footage of Hae-sang’s grandmother cutting her own finger before her death. They deduce that the key to stopping Lee Hyangi lies in finding her severed finger and destroying it. The two search exhaustively throughout the Yeom estate, but their efforts yield no results. Unbeknownst to them, Gyeong-mun divulges Hae-sang’s quest for the finger to the possessed San-young. The malevolent spirit cunningly manipulates the situation by using Gyeong-mun’s phone to send a message asking for help.

Seizing the opportunity, Hongsae and Hae-sang rush to aid Gyeong-mun, leaving the possessed San-young alone. Taking advantage of their absence, San-young goes to the Yeom estate and retrieves the box containing her severed finger in Revenant. However, Hae-sang becomes suspicious and decides to lock the door, doubting that the spirit is trying to deceive them. To protect Hongsae, he sends him to check on Gyeong-mun while he stays behind.

Hae-sang and the malevolent spirit engage in a fierce confrontation, resulting in Hae-sang getting stabbed. As the evil spirit attempts to leave, it encounters the real San-young, who appears on the mirror, blocking its escape in Revenant.
