Amazon has not officially announced a release date for Outer Range Season 2 yet, but we can make some educated guesses based on the production schedule of the first season. The show was ordered to series in February 2020, and began filming in October 2020 in New Mexico.

It took about six months to complete the eight episodes of the first season, which means that if the second season follows a similar timeline, we could expect it to premiere sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.

Josh Brolin, who plays a cowboy with a lot of problems in the show. He decided to strip down and pose for the camera in the middle of the desert, because why not? He’s Josh Brolin, he can do whatever he wants. He also gave us a sneak peek of what’s coming up in season two of the show, which has a new boss now.

Apparently, they’re going to be more sensitive to the changing world and set an example for everyone. How noble of them! He said he’s not supposed to share any photos from the show, but this doesn’t count because it’s just him having lunch. Sure, Josh, sure. Thanks to @brianbowensmith for capturing this priceless moment of Josh Brolin being Josh Brolin.

So back to the release date, since production is already happening, it is possible that “Outer Range” could wrap up by July or August depending on their progress. That means that a 2023 release would be very tight.

If season two comes out in 2023 on that timeline, it would be more likely in December than September. Early 2024 might be a more realistic goal. We’ll keep you posted on Outer Range Season 2!”

He was accompanied by Autumn (Imogen Poots), a mysterious drifter who claimed to have a connection to the void. Meanwhile, Royal’s wife Cecilia (Lili Taylor) and sons Perry (Tom Pelphrey) and Rhett (Lewis Pullman) were left to deal with the aftermath of their violent confrontation with the Tillersons, who had kidnapped Perry’s daughter Amy (Olive Abercrombie).

“The void is something that is very much alive and has its own agenda. It’s not just a portal to another dimension or another place. It’s something that is very much connected to these characters and their pasts and their futures.”

As for the Abbott family, Watkins said that they will face new challenges and threats in the second season, both from within and without. He said:

“The Abbotts are going to have to deal with the consequences of their actions in season one. They’re going to have to face some hard truths about themselves and each other. They’re also going to have to deal with some new enemies that are coming for them.”
