Sympathy for the Devil: The first look of Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman stuns fans in the upcoming Psychological thriller

Don't miss

Sympathy for the Devil, the upcoming psychological thriller from Yuval Adler (The Secrets We Keep), has a first-look picture of Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman via Capstone Global and Hammerstone Studios.

The film follows “The Driver” (Kinnaman), who finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse after being ordered to drive a mysterious man, “The Passenger” (Cage). It was written by Luke Paradise (the upcoming Lost on a Mountain in Maine). It becomes apparent that not everything is as it seems, as their nerve-wracking ride continues.

The film is being handled by Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios, which has reteamed with Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios to produce with Nicolas Cage‘s Saturn Films. In the past, Capstone and Hammerstone worked together on the action film Boy Kills World, which is now in post-production and stars Bill Skarsgard.

Who is starring in this upcoming masterpiece thriller, Sympathy for the Devil?

Fans should anticipate an adrenaline rush as they watch these two powerful talents square off, according to producer Allan Ungar. We are eager for viewers to witness Cage at the peak of his game.

Along with Lebovici, Cage, Stuart Manashil, and David Haring, Ungar creates. Along with Marc Goldberg, David Sullivan, Jason Soto, Tim Moore, Courtney Chenn, and Waylen Lin, Mercuri acts as executive producer.

The film Bethlehem, which received the Venice Days prize at the 2013 Venice Film Festival, six Israeli Film Academy prizes, and was Israel’s entry for the 2014 Oscars, is what most people associate Adler with. Since then, he has co-written and directed two films: the American thriller The Secrets We Keep, starring Noomi Rapace and Kinnaman, and The Operative, starring Martin Freeman and Diane Kruger and a 2019 Berlin Film Festival official selection.

The well-received 2021 movie Pig, which Cage most recently produced and starred in, and the 2022 comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent from Lionsgate, in which he played a fictionalized version of himself. In the science fiction series For All Mankind on Apple TV+, Kinnaman currently plays the lead role. He will then appear in The Silent Hour by Brad Anderson and John Woo’s Silent Night for AGC Studios and Meridian Pictures.

Kinnaman is represented by WME and Magnolia, while Cage is represented by WME, Stride Management, and Goodman Genow attorney Patrick Knapp. Industry Entertainment and Gersh represent Paradise.
