Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ is an upcoming drama television series developed by Lee Eisenberg. The series is based on the novel ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ by Bonnie Garmus. It follows the life of a chemist Elizabeth Zott.
In January 2021, Apple TV+ green-lit the series and production began in August 2022. The series is being produced by Aggregate Films along with Apple Studios. Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ will debut with 2 episodes, and the remaining episodes will be released on a weekly basis, with the finale set to premiere on November 24, 2023.

Set in the early 1950s, “Lessons in Chemistry” follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes.
The series which is being adapted from the novel, is based on the author’s real-life experience of her work as a creative director being stolen by a male executive in 2013. ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ was named Barnes & Noble’s book of the year in 2022. The book was originally called ‘Introduction to Chemistry’.
