A Beach Day in a Galaxy Far, Far Away in the “LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation” Poster

The teaser for Disney+‘s newest Lego Star Wars special, Lego Star Wars: Summer Vacation, has been published. Judging by the trailer, this brick-tastic retelling of the Galaxy Far, Far Away will be every bit as enjoyable as others that came before it. Rey discovered the true meaning of Life Day in the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, and Poe Dameron attempted to flee Castle Vader in Lego Star Wars: Terrifying Tales. The most recent adventure currently seems to be a Finn-centered story set after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

Even though San Diego Comic-Con is now officially finished, there are still a lot of interesting things coming next. One of the upcoming Disney+ specials is LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation, which debuted a cheery new poster at SDCC in advance of its August launch.

All of our favorite Star Wars characters are depicted on the poster in their most authentic LEGO forms, enjoying a beach vacation. Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Chewbacca are just a few of the Star Wars characters who appear in the picture, but many of them have a tropical twist. Ray is reading a wonderful book on the beach while donning an oversized hat and sunglasses, the stormtroopers are humorously dressed in bathing costumes, Finn is sporting a Hawaiian shirt, and BB-8 appears to have just returned from an exquisite day at the spa. Other happy moments include “Weird Al” Yankovic dancing the night away to the cantina band and Emperor Palpatine enjoying his power over the beach.

On a plush Galactic Star Cruiser called the Halcyon, the sequel trilogy crew of Finn, Ray, Rose, and Poe attempt to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the tale of this special. However, when the group is split up and Finn is visited by three Force Ghosts, things don’t go as planned. Princess Leia, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan all share tales of prior vacations. A new clip that introduces Finn’s arc in the special was revealed at SDCC along with the poster.

According to the advertising materials that have been made available so far, Summer Vacation appears to be a funny spin on a story similar to A Christmas Carol, in which a character is visited by three ghosts, and Finn is likely going to gain a lot of wisdom from the tales he is told. Finn is putting a lot of effort into making this trip the best one ever, which is guaranteed to cause some friction between the core group.

For their end-of-summer vacation, Finn, Rose, Rey, and Poe join the Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon, with the intention of having the journey of a lifetime. Although it’s unclear what specifically goes wrong, Finn finds himself alone himself at the pub, albeit only for a short while. The ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi appears and welcomes him, telling him to brighten up and telling him about his own trip. one where Jabba the Hutt is dancing. This program, like Terrifying Tales, will include three stories within stories as Anakin Skywalker and Leia Organa also tell Finn about their own holiday experiences.

The third Lego special on the streaming service, following LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special and LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, will debut on August 5 with LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation. The relaxing time in a galaxy far, far away is going to be amusing and endlessly adorable if Summer Vacation is anything like those previous specials. “Weird Al” Yankovic, Yvette Nicole Brown, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and recurring characters from Lego Star Wars like Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor will all appear in Summer Vacation.

You can check out the new poster, see the trailer, and catch up on everything Lego Star Wars on Disney+ while we wait for the release of this new special.
