Dwayne Johnson Shares “DC League of Super-Pets” Post-Credits Scene

Don't miss

Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson shared the whole post-credits scene from the animated film “DC League of Super-Pets” on social media on Saturday. Johnson is portrayed by a number of characters in the Instagram post, and even lends Krypto, Superman’s dog, his voice. The former WWE champion also provides the voices for Black Adam and Black Adam’s dog, Anubis, in addition to Krypto.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson teased the full post-credit scene from his recent animated film DC’s League of Super-Pets earlier this week, and he posted it online. He also expressed his excitement to play the title role of Black Adam in the live-action feature film, which will be released in theaters in October.

Johnson’s acting prowess is on full display in the post-credit scene for DC League of Super-Pets, where he provides the voices for three of the four characters. In the presently playing movie, the actor not only provides the voice for Superman’s dog Krypto, but also for Black Adam and Black Adam’s dog, Anubis.

When Krypto is about to play catch with his owner Superman (voiced by John Krasinski) in the end-credits clip posted on Johnson’s Instagram, Anubis beats him to the Batman-shaped squeaky toy in motion. The puppies talk about the Black Adam’s status as a “anti-hero” and what that means in comparison to a villain as their super-owners have a meeting. Anubis eventually concedes to his heroic opponent that there is a thin line separating his owner as a “anti-hero” from the bad guys Krypto battles.

Johnson and Kevin Hart reunite in the DC League of Super-Pets movie as Ace, Batman’s pet hound. With movies like Central Intelligence and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the two have developed an odd-couple chemistry that is successful at the box office.

With $23 million in its opening weekend, DC League of Super-Pets dethroned Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated Nope to claim the top spot. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie’s overall American box office earnings have hit $41 million. The storyline of the movie centers on the dogs’ quest to rescue their owners who are being kept captive by Lex Luthor (Marc Maron) and his evil guinea pig Lulu (Kate McKinnon). The animated movie stars an all-star voice cast, including Keanu Reeves as Bruce Wayne and Olivia Wilde as Lois Lane. It also serves as author Jared Stern’s theatrical directing debut.

“The world is starting to simmer with excitement about the earth’s shattering SUPERMAN vs BLACK ADAM⚡showdown one day,” Johnson teased the fan-requested fight in the Instagram message he posted.”But until then… BLACK ADAM’S DOG ~ ANUBIS⚡ has a few choice words for SUPERMAN’S DOG ~ KRYPTO. The definition and philosophy of ANTIHERO is quite intriguing….And YES…. If you listen closely, I voice BOTH DOGS AND BLACK ADAM in this scene.”

In the opening scene of the video, Krypto is playing fetch with his rubber Batman “favorite toy” before it abruptly disappears. Krypto noticed the toy in Anubis’s mouth when he raised his head. Krypto complains, “That’s my toy,” to which Anubis replies, “Then why is it in my mouth?”

The live-action Black Adam movie, which is scheduled to premiere on October 21, will center on the title anti-hero. The team of Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the script for the next movie, which was directed by Jaume-Collet Serra. Additionally joining the live-action DC universe are Quintessa Swindell as Red Tornado, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz. Along with playing the lead role, Johnson also acted as the movie’s executive producer, working with Walter Hamada, Eric McLeod, and Scott Sheldon.

Currently playing in theaters is DC’s League of Super-Pets. The Rock revealed the complete end-credit scene, which can be seen below.
