This new drama, I’m a Virgo, is a strange and joyful coming-of-age story about a 13-foot-tall black man named Cootie, starring Jharrel Jerome (Moonlight), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), and Olivia Washington (The Little Things), among others.
The official trailer for the legendary coming-of-age comedy “I’m A Virgo,” starring Emmy Award winner Jharrel Jerome, has just been made available on Prime Video. Boots Riley, a colorful-socked filmmaker, developed the show, wrote the script, served as executive producer, and he also directed each of the seven episodes. Executive producer is another role that Jerome fills.
On June 23, more than 240 nations and territories will have access to all seven episodes of the Amazon Original series exclusively on Prime Video.

What is the plot of I’m A Virgo?
The protagonist of I’m A Virgo is Cootie, a young man portrayed by Jharrel Jerome. Cootie is a very typical guy in most respects; he’s positive, sociable, and constantly seeking experience because, as he says, “Virgos love adventure.” Cootie is 13 feet tall, which sets him apart significantly from anyone in his immediate environment.
His family feels compelled to protect him from the outside world and anyone who might try to take advantage of him as a result. That, of course, cannot continue indefinitely, and Cootie finally departs from his house to discover Oakland, California, in its entirety. When describing Cootie in I’m a Virgo, Boots Riley said that while most people see “a giant Black man” in Cootie, the fact that he is a Virgo is what matters most to him.
