“Cobra Kai” is among the longest running Netflix series. However, the announcement of Cobra Kai season 6 is a long time coming. Now Ralph Macchio announces that we have news coming soon.
- “Cobra Kai” season 6 has not yet been announced by Netflix.
- However, many fans still hope that the “Karate Kid” spin-off will continue.
- Now actor Ralph Macchio has revealed exciting news about “Cobra Kai” season 6.
Although in “Cobra Kai” Season 5 Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence were able to stop the corrupt Sensei Silver together with their students, the Cobra Kai dojo lives on. A major international tournament, the Sakai Taikai, is coming up, where the fate of the karate world will be decided.
So far, however, Netflix has not officially announced a 6th season, partly because of scheduling difficulties with the showrunners. However, in a podcast, LaRusso actor Ralph Macchio now revealed something that gives fans hope for the “Karate Kid” series spin-off to continue soon.
Cobra Kai Season 6: Will “Cobra Kai” be renewed soon?
During an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Ralph Macchio let slip that we can probably expect big news soon and fans can get excited. He regrets that season 6 hasn’t been announced yet, but thinks it will be soon.
He also advised fans to continue “tuning in diligently” and keep the streaming numbers of “Cobra Kai” high. Is “Cobra Kai” season 6 still on shaky karate legs and will only be extended when enough people have watched the series?
It’s more likely that Macchio simply wanted to encourage fans to generate even more positive numbers to sweeten the wait for season 6. However, we’ve seen recently with “Sandman” that enough buzz and viewership numbers are crucial for the renewal of a Netflix series.
Cobra Kai Season 6: What can we expect
Season 5 of “Cobra Kai” had brought many storylines to their conclusion and resolved old rivalries. However, the danger posed by Cobra Kai and Sensei Kim Da-Eun has not been completely banished and some questions remain unanswered.
Together, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, with their Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos, could enter the great Sakai Taikai tournament to defeat Cobra Kai once and for all. However, their old enmity, which has since become a friendly rivalry, could still continue to flare up. The romantic relationships between Sam, Miguel and Robby should also be interesting.
Enemies become friends and face off against one last, great common enemy. This could be the episode-spanning plot of season 6. There’s also John Kreese, who escaped from prison, and it’s not quite sure yet whose side he’ll take. Season 6 of “Cobra Kai” has a lot of potential, so all that’s left is to start shooting.
