Hitoribocchi Season 2: Will we get to see it again?

Don't miss

Will there ever be Hitoribocchi Season 2? Will there be a sequel?

One of the many comedy and slice-of-life anime shows with a school theme is Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu. Hitoribocchi, like Asobi Asobase, follows a group of diverse female students as they go about their daily lives, usually at school while engaging in a variety of hilarious interactions.

In addition, Hitoribocchi’s idea is the same as Komi Can’t Communicate’s. Both focus on a main character who struggles to make new friends and suffers from severe social anxiety.

Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu began life as a Japanese manga series created by Katsuwo. Since September 27, 2013, it has been published in ASCII Media Works’ Comic Dengeki Daioh “g” magazine. It ran for eight tankobon volumes before coming to an end on June 25, 2021.

After Mitsuboshi Colors, the anime adaptation of a different manga series by the same author aired its final episode on March 25, 2018, the anime adaptation of Hitoribocchi was first revealed. C2C, a studio most renowned for its anime productions including WorldEnd, Wandering Witch, and Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy, is the company behind the adaptation.

The anime adaptation of Hitoribocchi debuted on April 6, 2019, and ran for 12 episodes until wrapping up on June 22 of the same year. Many fans of the first season want to see more of the action in a follow-up once it has concluded. What is the status of Hitoribocchi Season 2’s renewal?

As of right present, neither the author nor the studio has commented on Hitoribocchi Season 2. Fortunately, the show has not been canceled, however we are unsure if the season will be renewed or not. Its current whereabouts are still unknown.

Hitoribocchi Season 2: Will it be possible?

Regrettably, a second season of Hitoribocchi is extremely improbable. The manga series has already concluded, which means that the manga won’t sell any longer. It wouldn’t be required to produce Hitoribocchi Season 2 because most adaptations are created to promote the source material. It seems that the anime adaptation was planned to be a one-season show in the first place.

Another reason is that considering how unpopular the anime was, to begin with, the BD sales of the anime were not great and definitely not profitable enough to ensure Hitoribocchi Season 2.

Although the studio would have more than enough of them in terms of source material to create a season renewal. Only the first 33 of the 101 chapters have been addressed in the first season. With the stuff at hand, they could easily produce one or two more seasons. But, if you wish to read the manga after the events depicted in the anime, start at chapter 34 and work your way up.

Given the aforementioned factors, it is best to assume that Hitoribocchi Season 2 won’t air again.

Hitoribocchi Action

Many of us have experienced moving to a new school, making few or no friends in a strange setting, and having to go through the hard process of making new friends. Bocchi Hitori, who recently completed elementary school and was placed in middle school, is all too familiar with this battle.

Sadly, she has severe social anxiety, and as a result, she often makes absurdly complicated plans to avoid social situations. She also faints when she is overwhelmed and vomits when she is anxious. It doesn’t help that Bocchi won’t be attending the same middle school as Kai Yawara, her lone friend from elementary school. Kai, wishing to be of assistance to Bocchi, breaks off their relationship and vows to make amends once Bocchi makes friends with everyone in her new middle school class.

Bocchi has no confidence in herself, but she is determined to rekindle her friendship with Kai. Bocchi musters all of her bravery as she faces the arduous task of befriending everyone in her class, beginning with the girl who appears to be a troublemaker in the seat in front of her.
