Community is an American television series in the sitcom genre which Dan Harmon creates. The lead cast is Donald Glover, Joel McHale, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, and Jim Rash. The total number of episodes of this series is 110 episodes and the unlimited number of seasons is 6. The series is available on Netflix. In this series, Donald Glover played a former high school student who lost his scholarship to the best universities.
Donald Glover returning to the Community Film
There are many sitcoms such as Friends, which have series and a separate movie. Community movie is also in talks the previous cast of the film will be seen in the film.
As per Collider, Joel McHale who played Jeff Winger in the recent interview with Let’s Talk With Off Camera Podcast reveals that Donald Glover who played Trony Barnes will also join in the Community movie.
McHale also says that coming back to Clover is important for the movie where many cast members of the series are returning. Our bonding was great behind the scenes.
During the announcement, Glover was not part of the Community movie in September 2022 and the ott platforms still haven’t confirmed his casting.
Recent Updates of Donald Glover and Community Movie
In the Kelly Ripe podcast, Joel McHale confirmed the return of Donald Glover and also gave some major updates related to the filming of the Community film.
As per A.V Club, Joel McHale said that the shoot of the Community film may be starting in the next summer which means in summer 2024.
McHale also said that he hopes that Pedro and Walton will be returning to the community movie. In the present time, Pedro is the star.
As per The Direct, there is no confirmation about Chevy Chase who portrayed Pierce Hawthorne. Chase was fired from the series due to his racist jokes.
The Community movie is confirmed and production will be going around the summer of 2024 which is the reason for the Writers Guild of America strike.
