Dead Reckoning Part One- Behind the Scenes

Filming of Dead Reckoning was complicated as the production process came to a halt in 2020 because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In December 2020, audio surfaced of Cruise berating members of the crew who were not following the COVID guidelines for safety.

Shooting again came to a halt in 2021 when one of the crew members tested positive for the virus. Paramount Pictures issued a statement regarding the same

“We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing. We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Dead Recking Part One also had to reshoot some of their scenes. In Particular, a bridge scene was shifted from its original location in Poland to Derbyshire, England. Director Christopher McQuarrie wanted to destroy a part of the bridge for the movie but the locals were highly against it.
