Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy have been blessed with a new addition to their family! The couple, known for their roles in “Fleishman Is in Trouble” and “Hannibal,” respectively, recently welcomed a baby girl. This exclusive confirmation comes from a representative for the couple, who also revealed that Danes, 43, and Dancy, 48, are already proud parents to two sons, 4-year-old Rowan and 10-year-old Cyrus. The couple tied the knot in 2009.
Hugh Dancy’s wife reveals HILARIOUS response of their son
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January, Claire Danes shared amusing details about her two sons’ reactions to her pregnancy news. She mentioned that her son Cyrus seemed accepting of the situation, stating, “he was sort of resigned to it. I mean, the worst has already happened. His name is Rowan,” which elicited laughter. However, Danes went on to explain that her younger son, Rowan, had stronger objections and was firmly against the idea of having another sibling, indicating that he had more to lose and was not keen on the prospect.
Rowan’s Comical Protest and Changing Outlook
During Hugh Dancy’s wife appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Claire Danes shared a delightful anecdote about her son Rowan’s reaction to her pregnancy. Rowan expressed his disapproval by saying, “Yeah, no, no. I don’t like it. I don’t like it. I like peace, Mama.” Danes found it amusing because Rowan is usually quite talkative. Rowan even suggested giving the baby to a family without one since their family was “done.” Clearly, he was less than thrilled about the idea.
To ease Rowan’s concerns, Danes explained to him that the baby would initially be quite naive and would need their help and guidance. Surprisingly, this condescending role intrigued Rowan, and he became more optimistic about the upcoming arrival. Danes humorously noted that he liked the idea of being a wise presence for the baby.
