Truth to be told, ‘Bridgerton’ has been a major hit since it arrived on Netflix in 2020 and took the number one spot. It is no secret that much like ‘Gossip Girl‘ of the 2000s, Miss Whitsledown was the real deal in the 1800s, starting from revealing scandalous secrets to instigating beefs between noble families. However, as she would like to say: ‘The social season is upon us,’ so Netflix has dropped the first-look photos of the upcoming season of fantasy series.
A new love blooming in the regency era
As we know the premise is set against the backdrop of the Regency era, the eight close-knit siblings of the noble and powerful Bridgerton family – Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth – navigate London high society in search of love. Nevertheless, we’ve seen Daphne “burn” for the Duke, while Anthony found the bane of his existence and the object for all his desires in Kate, naturally we move on to Colin now, so is Penelope Colin’s one true love or is there a plot twist awaiting us? Regardless, the official Twitter page of the show uploaded some still images from the upcoming season which was featured by the streaming giant in it’s biggest fan event, Tudum.

Bridgerton’s new couple feels like a “forced love story”
Unfortunately fans are extremely displeased with the upcoming romance as some of them strongly feel that Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton ill treated their favorite Nicola Coughan’s Penelope Featherington. A fan said, “Time to pack it up please,” while another said, “Most sauceless bridgerton couple.” A fan reacted, “This love story looks so forced between these two. Latest Updates of ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3
- Furthermore, filming of Season 3 started in July thus we will see the return of many familiar faces, including Claudia Jesse and Luke Thompson as noble siblings Eloise and Benedict. Also returning are Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley as fan-favorite couple, and main couple of Season 2, Anthony and Kate.
- Not returning for the third season, however, is Phoebe Dynevor, who starred as Daphne Bridgerton in Season 1 opposite Regé-Jean Page’s Simon Basset. What’s new are the three lords — Harry Dankworth (James Phoon), Lord Debling (Sam Phillips) and Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis) — joined the mix.
