The IFC film ‘Biosphere’ is all set for a theatrical release, and fans can mark their calendars for July 7, 2023.
Biosphere: Plot
Two Best Friends Ray and Billy are the last 2 men on Earth. They find themselves in a ‘biosphere’ pod which is the only sustainable source of life on the planet. The movie follows the journey of the two men as they try to survive and explore beyond the bubble they are trapped in.
The duo try to escape claustrophobia, loneliness, and boredom, while also trying to escape from their pod and venture outside.
Biosphere: Cast and Crew
The movie follows the life of 2 men, Ray (Sterling K. Brown) and Billy (Mark Duplass). They are the only human beings alive and sustaining in a environment. The trailer follows the duo as they try to kill time by exercising, harvesting fruits, and vegetables, and other mundane activities.
The duo is currently alive because Ray is a brilliant scientist who designed the custom bio pod they call home. One scene from the trailer shows Billy asking Ray whether he is curious about what is happening on the outside, to which Ray replies that he might have a solution to it.
The movie is directed by Mel Eslyn. Mark Duplass who acts as Billy, is producing the same along with Jay Duplass, Zackary Drucker, and Shuli Harel.
