Needless to say, the hype for Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ was a no shocker. Miss Gerwig had set the expectations of fans too high as she excelled in the directorial aspect of cinemas in ‘Little Women’ and ‘Ladybird’. Nevertheless, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer had the same release date as Barbie which gave everyone another reason to be excited as they could make it compete with one another. Greta Gerwig’s imagination, a masterpiece is the creation

In the magical realm of Barbieland, phenomenal set designs work like portals, whisking you away to a realm of imagination and wonder. The chemistry between Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is nothing short of spectacular, radiating an irresistible charm that leaps off the screen and captures your heart. Furthermore, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have for sure pulled off the tricky tightrope act of a self-aware screenplay that hits hard on the nose while being thoroughly entertaining. Also, let’s not forget the music score which will for sure make you tap your feet at least once.

Barbie Review: Defying predictability with cunning twists!

Apart from all the pink glam and glitz, let’s focus on the film’s plot weaving a tapestry of surprises, defying predictability with cunning twists that keep you guessing throughout. Amid the laughter, the movie serves as a brilliant mirror, reflecting upon society’s norms, dismantling stereotypes, and fearlessly confronting issues of gender inequality and toxic masculinity. Such clever social commentary adds depth and meaning to this seemingly carefree adventure. The incorporation of feminism in the film because many of the women viewers have gone through all the stages at one point and we loved how they came back into power as well.
