Game of Thrones was one of the best series in 2013 and will always be remembered as Emilia Clarke’s best performance to date. As many prequels and spinoffs of the popular HBO series were made but some of the iconic scenes and characters are still remembered. The series had 8 seasons and people are still a big fan of the series. Recently an interesting fact about the series has been disclosed that will come as a shock to the fans.
Steamy scene in Game of Thrones
During an interview with TJH Superhero Comic Con & Car Show, Emilia Clarke who played Daenerys in the popular series called out a scene with Kit Hannington awkward. There have been many intimate or nude scenes in the series that the actress called out to be very uneasy but this scene with Jon Snow was extremely difficult.
She said that while they were doing the intimate scene between Jon and Daenerys, it was difficult because Jon is Aegon Targaryen, the son of Rhaegar and thus, Dany’s nephew. Both the actors and the audience didn’t know about it till it was disclosed. Clark’s brother was at the camera department when the scene was shot.
The Sceret Invasion star said- I do remember the day, our sex scene day, and my brother was in the camera department that day… And he was on set that day. Kit was like, “Mate, you gotta get him out of here!”– Screenrant
Emilia Clark Felt uncomfortable during Game of Thrones
Clarke was involved in so many intimate scenes than she ever appeared in any of her movies. When Game of Thrones was shot Emilia was 23 years old and was unaware that there were any nude or sex scenes or rather about her character Daenerys. She felt “pressured” into doing nude scenes in Game of Thrones, particularly in season 1, and was often uncomfortable filming them. As the show went on, Clarke got less to do intimate scenes.
In Game of Thrones season 6, Clarke did a final nude scene. The sequence where she burns down the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen and all the Khal leaders inside before she emerges from the burning building unscathed. Clarke says she was “thrilled” to do the scene because it was “empowering” and “not gratuitous.”- Screenrant
