“Amy Jo Johnson Clarifies Decision to Skip Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Reunion Movie and Addresses Rumors”

Amy Jo Johnson, in order to honor the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers’ legacy, decided not to participate in a reunion movie for Netflix earlier this year. The film brought back David Yost (Blue Ranger) and Walter Jones (Black Ranger), who reprised their roles and wore their Power Rangers suits once again after 30 years since the show’s debut on Fox Kids.

However, Johnson, along with Jason David Frank (Green Ranger), chose not to return. Johnson took to Twitter to address rumors suggesting that money was the reason behind her decision, clarifying that it was not true. She stated that her reasons for declining the movie may have been related to not wanting to wear spandex in her 50s or being unable to travel to New Zealand for a month. She also mentioned that Jason David Frank made the same decision for his own personal reasons, and filming took place before the passing of a particular individual.

The Netflix film titled “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always” is set thirty years after the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. In the storyline, the team reunites to confront a familiar threat from their past. The world is in the midst of a global crisis, and the Power Rangers are called upon once again to be the heroic figures that the world desperately needs.
