However, Johnson, along with Jason David Frank (Green Ranger), chose not to return. Johnson took to Twitter to address rumors suggesting that money was the reason behind her decision, clarifying that it was not true. She stated that her reasons for declining the movie may have been related to not wanting to wear spandex in her 50s or being unable to travel to New Zealand for a month. She also mentioned that Jason David Frank made the same decision for his own personal reasons, and filming took place before the passing of a particular individual.
