The second part of season 5 will return in summer 2023, with six more episodes to wrap up the story.

Smith as Lloyd Pierce, a senior ranch hand; Denim Richards as Colby Dunn, a ranch hand who is dating Teeter; Jennifer Landon as Teeter, a female ranch hand; Hassie Harrison as Laramie, a barrel racer who is dating Walker; Ryan Bingham as Walker, a former ranch hand who is now a singer; Piper Perabo as Summer Higgins, an activist who is involved with John; Dawn Olivieri as Sarah Atwood, a lawyer who is working with Market Equities and sleeping with Jamie; Finn Little as Carter Morrissey, a troubled teenager who Beth and Rip take in; and Q’orianka Kilcher as Angela Blue Thunder, Rainwater’s advisor.

However, there are also some rumors that Kevin Costner might leave the show after Season 5, which could mean that this season might be the last one for Yellowstone. According to Deadline, Costner is in talks to exit the series due to his busy schedule and other projects. There is also a possibility that Yellowstone might continue with a spin-off or a franchise extension starring Matthew McConaughey.
