In The Witcher Season 3, a newly introduced character is surprisingly recast. You can find out from us which character will soon be played by a new actor.

  • In “The Witcher” season 3, a character was surprisingly recast.
  • Rience the Magician is no longer played by Chris Fulton.
  • In the new episodes you will see Sam Woolf, who will also soon be seen in a role in “The Crown“.

Season 3 of The Witcher recasts a character that was only introduced in Season 2 of the Netflix series. The magician Rience is known for his forbidden fire magic and plays an important role in the further history of the witcher saga.

In season 2 he was played by Chris Fulton. Now the very well-informed fan website ” Redanian Intelligence ” is reporting that Fulton will be replaced by Sam Woolf in the new season. Woolf will also play Prince Edward in Season 5 of The Crown.

It is not yet clear why the appointment was changed. There may have been some overlap with other film work Fulton was hired to do. “The Witcher” season 3 will continue to film until September 2022. We will most likely see the new episodes on Netflix in 2023 .

Before that, you can expect the prequel ” The Witcher: Blood Origin “. The series has now entered post-production and is expected to be released around Christmas 2022.
