Mulgrew has already returned as the voice actress for Captain Janeway in the kid-friendly animated series ” Star Trek: Prodigy ” – but what about a comeback in a live-action series from the “Star Trek” universe?
The actress spoke to the website Comicbook.com about the same topic – and didn’t want to rule out a return to her iconic role! First of all, however, Mulgrew states in the interview that the third season of “Star Trek: Picard” has already been turned off, which makes it impossible to return alongside the numerous TNG icons that have already been officially confirmed.
But then the decisive sentences fall. “But who knows what will happen in the future,” asks the actress, thinking out loud. “There seems to be a tremendous resurrection here… a very crucial one.”
“For the first time,” Mulgrew said, she’s looking at a return “with new eyes.” Finally, the Janeway actress adds, “I wonder what would happen if Janeway really came back as a live-action character.”
