In Star Trek Picard season 3 we could expect a new starship Enterprise. Showrunner Terry Matalas hints that we’ll meet the Enterprise-F!
- “Star Trek: Picard” season 3 could show us the new generation of the starship Enterprise.
- Picard commands the USS Enterprise-D in the series “The Next Century” and the Enterprise-E in the films.
- Terry Matalas, showrunner of “Star Trek: Picard” Season 3, now hints at the arrival of the USS Enterprise-F!
Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is inevitably linked to the famous starship Enterprise. The fact that the legendary vehicle has hardly been seen in ” Star Trek: Picard ” came as a bit of a surprise to fans of the “Star Trek” universe.
For “Star Trek: Picard” Season 3 it has now been promised that not only will the crew from ” Star Trek: The Next Century ” return, but that they will also return to the Starship Enterprise. Rumor has it that there will even be 3 different generations of the Enterprise in the final season of the series!
At the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Patrick Stewart revealed that the crew would return to the Enterprise, according to the US magazine Screen Rant , LeVar Burton recently made it clear again that she was filming on the bridge of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D had.
The Enterprise-D is the spaceship from “The Next Century”. From the movie “Star Trek: First Contact” the crew moved to the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E because the D was destroyed.
Now showrunner Terry Matalas has hinted on Twitter that “Star Trek: Picard” will introduce the next generation of the Starship Enterprise: the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-F, which has not yet been shown in a film or series.
He comments on the rumors that the USS Enterprise-D would make an appearance: “I’ll quickly deny it before anyone gets my hopes up. What the f are they talking about? Do you get it? What the f? *cough! Okay, I’m out of there .”
The USS Enterprise-F actually appeared in the game “Star Trek Online”. It is unclear whether the series will be based on this. However, since the official “Star Trek Online” Twitter account commented on Matalas’ post, we strongly assume so.
While the previous Enterprises belonged to the Constitution, the Ambassador, the Ecxelsior class and the Sovereign class, the USS Enterprise-F in “Star Trek Online” belongs to the Odyssey class. How fitting that “Star Trek Online” comments: “The season sounds like an odyssey to us.”
Unlike the Enterprise-D, the Enterprise-F has a more elongated saucer section that is more reminiscent of the Starship Voyager from ” Star Trek: Starship Voyager ” than previous generations of Enterprise. The Enterprise’s two trademark gondolas still exist, however.
