Silo has been given a second season at Apple TV+, avoiding the one-season end-all tragedy that has befallen so many sci-fi shows recently. The 10-episode first season of the dystopian drama was picked up after seven episodes.
Since its global premiere on May 5, “Silo” has received praise for being “simply transcendent sci-fi TV,” a “riveting and equally star-studded,” “must-watch” series. The series has received praise for its “rich and compelling” world-building elements, as well as for Ferguson’s “incredible” performance, who “brings an understated gravitas” to the lead role.
This considers how many people initially watch it, followed by a study of the drop-off rate. Some shows are quickly renewed or cancelled. Examples are Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Shantaram. Before a decision is made regarding the future of a show, it might occasionally take months.

What’s the plot of the upcoming Silo season 2
The protagonists of Hugh Howey’s best-selling novel, Silo, are the last 10,000 inhabitants of the planet. The turn? They all reside in a silo that is one mile underground, which is supposed to shield them from the dangerous and toxic outside environment. Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson, is an engineer-turned-sheriff who starts to solve the mystery of the underground civilisation.
The show’s creator, Graham Yost, said in a statement: “We cannot wait for fans all around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we have created to bring Hugh Howey’s novels to life. “Apple has supported our mission from the beginning, and it’s a privilege to have the chance to delve deeper into this narrative and reveal more about our Silo characters.”
