The show marked Nicolas Ghesquière’s tenth anniversary at the helm. Naturally, he conveyed us on an introspective, reflective, journey, that dived into the archives to reimagine the future.
Its hallmarks were futuristic kaleidoscopes of soft neutrals, from icy blue and silver to gentle bronze and beige, enhanced by a cacophony of shimmering textures. Think heavily metallic and embroidered outerwear; voluminous skirts with asymmetrical and poetic hems, structured dresses, textured accents and playfully layered athleisure. And then there were the futuristic bags and fashion jewellery. Ghesquière reimagined classic designs, with unique twists, new life and fresh iterations.
There was a heavy emphasis on the option for these new imaginings to include the transition into a shoulder bag for women. Expect to see these take Australian winter style.
