Emmys generally air every September, on the Sunday before the official start of the fall television season. The Nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, with HBO’s Succession receiving the most nominations at 27, including Best Drama and 14 nominations for its ensemble cast. The Last Of Us and The White Lotus from HBO followed closely with 24 and 23 nominations respectively, while Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso received 21 nominations. Among broadcast shows, NBC‘s Saturday Night Live received the most nominations with nine, followed by ABC’s Abbott Elementary with eight, and CBS’ The Amazing Race with three.
The Emmys are scheduled to air live on September 18, but potential strikes by the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA could result in a postponement.
The 2023 Creative Arts Emmys will take place on September 9 and 10, prior to the main ceremony. TVLine has provided a list of the major nominees.
