The comedy series “Derry Girls” is returning to Channel 4 and Netflix for the last time. This was confirmed by series creator Lisa McGee on Twitter. Now the start date of the final episodes on Netflix is also known.
Derry Girls Season 3: Release Date
Finally, season 3 has a start date and it will not be too long until the final episodes appear on Channel 4. Season 3 launched on April 12, 2022 in the UK and Ireland.
Now the Netflix start date has also been set. On October 7, 2022, international “Derry Girls” fans will also see what crazy stories the teen clique experiences in the grand finale.

In the season 2 finale, the Northern Ireland conflict eased, making it possible for U.S. President Bill Clinton to give a speech in Derry. James decided not to return to England with his mother, but to stay in Derry.

McGee wrote in her announcement on finales, “It was always the plan to say goodbye after three seasons. ‘Derry Girls’ is a coming-of-age story that follows five funny teens as they slowly … very slowly … begin to grow up, while around them the place they call home also begins to change and Northern Ireland enters a new, more hopeful phase – which was a small, magical window of time.”
