Can you imagine “Cobra Kai” spin-offs? The original Karate Kid Ralph Macchio can. He’d especially like to see a Netflix series about Hawk and Demetri.
- What will happen after the end of “Cobra Kai”? Ralph Macchio could imagine some spin-offs.
- The star is considering different ideas. Above all, a spin-off about Hawk and Demetri sounds appealing.
- Macchio hopes to make cameo appearances in future spin-offs.
Currently, fans are waiting for “Cobra Kai” Season 6, but what’s next for “Cobra Kai” on Netflix? The series creators don’t want to cannibalize their “Karate Kid” sequel forever, but spin-offs are within the realm of possibility. Daniel LaRusso actor Ralph Macchio could also imagine a spin-off.
In an interview with the online magazine Uproxx, the original Karate Kid commented on possible spin-off ideas, including one about fan favorites Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) and Demetri (Gianni Decenzo): “If [a possible spin-off] is going to have a comedic tone, it would really have to be about Demetri and Hawk and their relationship with each other.”
“Mary [Mouser; Sam LaRusso] also had really strong dramatic moments. Some of my favorite scenes are her grounded relationship moments,” the star weighs in. He could also imagine series about being a parent, especially in relation to Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and his relationships with Daniel and Johnny (William Zabka).
“I guess it could be about any kid on the show, I just hope they give me a cameo appearance now and then,” Ralph Macchio concludes.
When we can expect “Cobra Kai” Season 6 is still unclear. Just keep an eye on Netflix’s new releases schedule and you won’t miss the release of the new episodes!
Cobra Kai Season 6: Release Date
So far Netflix has not confirmed a 6th season of “Cobra Kai”, but since the series is very successful, nothing should stand in the way of another sequel. Now it depends on when production will begin. Either way, however, season 6 should start on Netflix in 2023; after all, filming never takes very long. It is conceivable that season 6 will be the last season of “Cobra Kai”.
Cobra Kai season 6: Plot
Unlike most other “Cobra Kai” seasons, season 5 offers us a pretty well-rounded conclusion, though of course there is still potential for at least one more season. For example, the last scene of the season 5 finale shows John Kreese breaking out of prison.
Kreese wants revenge
Kreese is certainly out for revenge after Daniel promised him help through his lawyer, but immediately broke that promise and insulted Kreese as well. The question, however, is what Kreese’s plan is. He will hardly return as Sensei, after all he is now a wanted criminal and can only act from the background, possibly again with Tory’s help.
Moreover, it could be that Kreese wants to pull Johnny back to his side, after all, Johnny still seems to mean a lot to him.
“Cobra Kai” without Cobra Kai?
From the current point of view, the story of the Cobra Kai dojo seems to be told. Silver is defeated, Kreese can’t return to Cobra Kai, and Johnny should have no interest in returning. A completely new sensei might be introduced or Kim Da-Eun might take over, but most of the students have left Cobra Kai, so there’s little danger from the former Dread Dojo in Season 6.
Sekai Takai
The Sekai Takai tournament is first introduced in season 5, and everything looks like Cobra Kai and the unnamed dojo of Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen will test their strength there. However, season 5 ends before the tournament and Cobra Kai is (presumably) history. In season 6, we will undoubtedly see the Sekai Takai, but now there is a lack of a clear enemy here.
It’s possible that a larger part of the new season will be set in another country where the Sekai Takai also takes place. This would also explain why most of the previous differences were occupied in season 5. In season 6, new opponents could be introduced and Kreese would also have more opportunities outside the US, since there would be little search for him there.
Miyagi-Fang
What will be the name of the joint dojo of Johnny, Daniel and Chozen, assuming that the three former enemies remain a permanent team? This question was already asked in season 5 and should be answered in season 6, in time for Sekai Takai. A popular fan theory is that the new dojo could be called “The Karate Kids” – but of course we don’t know for sure yet.
Cobra Kai Season 6: Cast
All the main actors and actresses from “Cobra Kai” are back again in season 6. For Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), Stingray (Paul Walter Hauser) and Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) it is not sure whether they will return in season 6, the same applies to the numerous supporting characters such as Miguel’s father Hector (Luis Roberto Guzmán).
