Zoe Saldana has been the talk of the town, be it for Marvel or James Cameron’s Avatar universe. Since the third installment is postponed to next year, this is eventually affecting the 4th and 5th installments too. Fans on the other hand are a little unhappy about the pushed date of Avatar 3 but also started joking about the next James Cameron movie. Joking with the fans, Neytiri played by Zoe Saldana has also started to joke about the coming threequel.
With Avatar’s first and second installments becoming the highest grosser ever, the movie’s third installment is announced too. The ‘Avatar-Frontiers of Pandora‘ is set to be released in 2024 December but the dates have been shifted. The movie is delayed due to some production reasons.
Zoe Saldana ‘Avatar’ last movie in 2031
The ‘Avatar‘ franchise is set to have 5 movies that will end in 2031. Actress Zoe Saldana plays Neytiri in the franchise jokingly says that she will be 53 when the last movie will be released. She says- “Great! I’m gonna be 53 when the last avatar comes out,” Saldaña, who is now 44 added an emoji with a shocked face. “I was 27 when I shot the very first @avatar movie,” she added with a bespectacled disguised face emoji on her Instagram handle- according to People.
‘Avatar’ came in 2009 and won the Oscar in every category for cinematography, special effects and many others.
What will happen in upcoming Avatar movies?
The first installment talks about the story of Jake Sully who comes as a researcher in Pandora and later protects the family of Neytiri and lives back in the tribe. The second installment Way of Water opens with both Neytiri and Jake getting married and having kids. The third, fourth and fifth will depict the story of Jake’s son Lo’ak and the story of their kids(Neytiri and Jake’s kids) finding way to co-exist with humans and avatars.
In a behind the scene feature, Avatar: The Way of Water, Saldaña and Worthington talked about how so much have changed between the filming of the original Avatar and its sequel, including becoming parents in real life and on screen in movie. “Zoe and me were always just very close, and that gave us absolute freedom to bounce off each other and just enjoy the ride,” said Worthington in People magazine.
Zoe Saldana who also appears as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy talks about getting back in shape and becoming like her character in Avatar. She shared that she had to get back into the routine of an Avatar and was really sweating with hard work and getting into the characters shoes.
Avatar fans get ready for the coming parts of the James Cameron movie in the coming years as magic is about to happen again on screen.
