In the second episode of “The Killing Vote,” Kwon Seok-joo faces his final trial and decides to defend himself by criticizing those who sided with the perpetrator instead of the victims. In the present, Joo Hyun reminds Moo-chan about Seok-joo’s last words before his sentencing, hinting that he might be the real culprit. Moo-chan remains skeptical as he’s in prison and has never had visitors. Hyun wants to join the Special Investigation Unit to continue working on the case’s video, but Moo-chan declines.

Meanwhile in ‘The Killing Vote’, Jin-soo reports that Bae Gi-chul’s phone analysis is done, revealing a threatening text. Hyun leaves disheartened, and Moo-chan learns that Gi-chul donated his wealth to an NGO helping sexually assaulted kids on the day he died. Moo-chan asks Jin-soo to find the account holder for more details. That night, both Hyun and Moo-chan delve deeper into Seok-Joo’s potential involvements.

The following day, we find out that Seok-joo has made a positive impact on fellow inmates by helping one of them achieve a GED degree. However, he avoids discussing Gi-chul’s death, instead encouraging positivity. Meanwhile, Hyun receives the news of her acceptance into the Special Investigation Unit, leaving her elated. On the flip side, Moo-chan visits the prison to meet Seok-joo, but the request is declined. Prison guard Chul-min offers assistance instead.

Outside the prison, Moo-chan discovers that the bar’s waiter, present when Gi-chul was last seen, is willing to talk. He, along with Jin-soo, visits the bar to gather more information. After some pressure, they find out a cab was waiting exclusively for Gi-chul on the day of his death. Moo-chan instructs Jin-soo to review nearby CCTV footage. Meanwhile, Moo-chan confronts the waiter and ends up assaulting him for placing cameras in the women’s restroom, leading to the discovery of a business card.

Meanwhile, Hyun and Jo-dan successfully trace the IP address responsible for spreading malware across different systems. Simultaneously, Moo-chan and Jin-soo talk to a taxi driver, obtaining a phone number and taxi plate details. Unfortunately, the killer is quick-witted, disposing of the taxi at a junkyard before the police can intervene, resulting in it being crushed

.Later, both teams in ‘The Killing Vote’ reach the location tied to the IP address, uncovering Gi-chul’s hideout. Inside, they search for hidden computers or servers potentially used by Gaetal. Jin-soo finds a LAN cable and extracts data for later analysis on her personal computer.

Race Against Time: Uncovering the Lethal Plot in The Killing Vote

As the days count down to a critical deadline in ‘The Killing Vote’, leads become scarce. Hyun proposes a theory based on discussions in Cheongnang Prison message boards, impressing Moo-chan. He arranges an interview between the prisoners and Hyun, allowing her to scrutinize them individually. Despite Seok-joo being initially excluded from the questioning list, he opts to speak with Hyun after learning about her inquiries regarding the phrase “Devils who were deemed innocent.”

During the interrogation, Hyun questions Seok-joo about the significance of the phrase he used and any connection to The Killing Vote. Despite Seok-joo’s attempts to dismiss her theory, she persists. He challenges her to think like the killer and speculate about the potential victim if the perpetrator isn’t found. This unsettling notion leaves Hyun stunned, prompting her to ask Seok-joo whom he believes is the intended target. However, Seok-joo declines to provide further information and walks away, leaving Hyun unsettled in Episode 2 of The Killing Vote.

The entire nation holds its breath, anxiously awaiting the next move. Finally, Gaetal’s anticipated action arrives as he reveals Eun-gyeong’s name on the screen, detailing her deceitful actions to extort money from unsuspecting men and, more recently, innocent children. As the public votes, Jo-dan and Hyun’s readiness aids Moo-chan and the team in pinpointing the whereabouts of Eun-gyeong’s vehicle. Their efforts quickly unveil a disturbing truth – the car is rigged with a bomb.
