“Shangri-La Frontier” is being directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka (“Handyman Saitou in Another World”) at Studio C2C. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (“Elaina’s Journey”) is penning the script, while Ayumi Kurashima (“Devilman: Crybaby”) is contributing character design.
The main cast features Yuuma Uchida (Kazuomi Ooga in “ReLife”) as Rakuro Hizutome, Youko Hikasa (Stephanie Dola in “No Game No Life”) as Towa Amane, and Makoto Koichi (Sakura Otome in “Lycoris Recoil”) as Kei Uomi. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series.
The manga series of the same name, penned by Katarina and Ryousuke Fuji, has been published in “Weekly Shounen Magazine” since July 2020. The publisher Kodansha has so far released 13 volumes in Japanese stores.
