Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 News

The second season of “Seirei Gensouki” will once again be produced under the direction of director Osamu Yamasaki (“Hakuoki”), while Kyouko Yufu (“Delicious Party♡Precure”) will once again be responsible for the design of the characters. The animation studio has not yet been announced.

The twelve-part first season was created at the studios Wao World and TMS Entertainment and was shown on Japanese television from July to September 2021. The streaming service Crunchyroll offers it on demand in English as well as in the original sound with English subtitles.

The anime is based on the light novel of the same name penned by Yuri Kitayama, which has been published in Japan since October 2015 with illustrations by Riv. So far, 24 volumes have been released in Japanese stores. The work is available in English through the publisher J-Novel Club.
