Rent-A-Girlfriend Story
Rent-A-Girlfriend follows the adventures of Kazuya Kinoshita, who was devastated after being dumped by his girlfriend of one month, Mami Nanami.
He decides to try an online dating app where he rents a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, a sweet, gorgeous girl.
He thought she was too perfect to be real and gave her a low rating in the app. After finding this out, Chizuru scolds him and reveals her true personality, a sassier college girl than he expected.
A surprising twist of fate resulted in Kazuya continuing to rent Chizuru as his fake girlfriend in front of his family and friends.
However, Chizuru discovered that her client is her next-door neighbor and schoolmate.
Things get complicated when more rental girlfriends show interest in Kazuya.
In the series’ second season, Chizuru quits her job and pursues her passion for acting. Kazuya supports her in achieving her dream and commits to renting her every week to help her financially.
Having failed multiple auditions and unable to fulfill the wish of her dying grandmother, who was a top star, Chizuru loses hope that she will become a lead actress.
In a heartwarming effort of Kazuya, he starts a crowdfunding initiative for her and encourages Chizuru to make a movie together to show her grandmother.
But with more girlfriends lurking around him, Kazuya will have troubles focusing on his promise to Chizuru.

Fans of the hit manga and anime series Rent-A-Girlfriend are in for a treat as the third season of the anime adaptation has been officially announced! The series, which follows the romantic adventures of Kazuya Kinoshita and his rental girlfriend Chizuru Mizuhara, is based on the manga by Reiji Miyajima, which has sold over ten million copies worldwide.
The anime debuted in July 2020 and received a second season in July 2022, despite some mixed reviews from critics. The series also spawned a live-action drama that aired from July to September 2022.
The third season will continue the story from where the second season left off, covering the Rental Girlfriend’s Dream Arc from the manga. In this arc, Kazuya and Chizuru decide to make a movie together to fulfill Chizuru’s dying grandmother’s wish of seeing her granddaughter become a famous actress.
