My Happy Marriage has come up with another episode this Wednesday and another journey towards a blissful marriage is pacing forward. The series talks about the life of Miyo who now lives in Kudo’s mansion and is slowly accepting her fate which seems a little hopeful. They are going on outings and spend some time together. Kudo knows everything about her now and still wants to marry her.
My Happy Marriage Epi- 4: Miyo confronts her past into a blissful future
My Happy Marriage Episode 4 begins on a very joyous day. Miyo is happy that Lord Kudo has given her the comb which resembles her mother’s. She is woken up by a memory of her mother standing at the cherry blossom tree and begging her father not to abandon her. Her dreams break with her mother telling her that she might not have much time to save her but has to protect her.
Later Miyo asks Yurie to advise her something that she gifts Kudo as a gesture of thank you. Yurie gets excited and finds a book on the shelf that can help Miyo with her idea. She decides to braid a hair tie through the finest threads in the town. Later as Kudo is about to leave for work, Miyo asks for some errands to visit the market and Kudo agrees to it. She is accompanied by Yurie and picks up some beautiful threads for the hair tie. As Yurie wants to buy some salt for the house, she leaves Miyo on a corner of the sidewalk and asks her to wait.
Miyo hears a familiar voice in the market and that voice is of Kaya accompanied by Koji. She mistakes Miyo for being rejected by Kudo and trying to survive in the city by doing some jobs. She tells her all sorts of humiliating things and even tells her that if she begs for coins, she will not hesitate to throw some at her face.
The scene shifts to Kudo arriving at Saimori’s house and talking to Miyo’s father and stepmother. He asks to make it official and wishes to marry Miyo with all she has. He asks that they will break all her ties with the Saimori family if Miyo’s father would not apologize. He needs to apologize for all the deeds that he did to her since her mother passed. He asks for time and is confused by Kudo’s wants to marry Miyo despite her inability to possess any power.
Miyo is extremely hurt by Kaya’s words but Yurie arrives in time and she confronts Kaya that her master has already accepted her in marriage. This makes Kaya taken aback and she is confused to see why she is even accepted to live. Miyo arrives back home and is drained with emotions. As Kudo arrives home Yurie tells him what happened in the market and how she felt when she saw her sister.
Kudo sends out a letter to get a visitor to her caretaker Hana and Miyo gets emotional to see her. She confronts her about what happened to her all these years. Hana is now married and happy with her family and tells Miyo to start showing some courage and love to Kudo. She tells Kudo everything about her and Kudo accepts her with all his heart. She ties the hair tie that she made for him and Kudo hugs her as a thank you.
Hana is escorted back and Kudo promises her that she can visit her whenever she wants. Miyo is finally found content in her life.
My Happy Marriage: The Gift
Throughout the episode of My Happy Marriage, Miyo is confronted by her past and present. She accepts that there is room for love despite the trauma of her childhood. Kudo has depicted a true man to protect her spouse and would love her with all the wits he can. He will make sure that she gets the deserved apology for all her trauma and scars that left her meager and sad. On the other hand, Miyo is finally experiencing her powers haunting her but will she realize it? Can’t wait to see the next episode. A solid 4 out of 5 stars.
