Miley Cyrus’s mom, Tish Cyrus, is now engaged to Prison Break alum, Dominic Purcell, a year after her divorce was finalized with Billy Ray Cyrus.
On Sunday, April 29th, 2023, Tish announced that news with photos of the two embracing. In the carousel of two images, the first offers a closeup of Cyrus’ square-cut engagement ring, while the second shows Cyrus and Purcell wrapped in a loving embrace.
She captioned the post on her Instagram Account, “A thousand times…. YES,” adding a heart emoji while tagging the British-Australian actor.
The News reported that the announcement comes seven months after Tish’s ex Billy Ray sparked rumors in September 2022 that he got engaged to Aussie singer Firerose, which was confirmed two months later.
Soon after, Tish Cyrus, 55, and Purcell, 53, debuted their romance and went Instagram-official in November 2022. Since then, they haven’t been shy about showcasing their love publicly and on social media.
A few days before their engagement announcement, Purcell shared a photo of the couple on Instagram and gave a sweet shoutout to her lady love. “Punching way above my weight – yep absolutely, I’m a lucky bastard,” Purcell captioned the post. “She’s the best human ever. Love ya love.”
In February, a source told US Weekly that Tish ‘truly feels like she found her soulmate’ in Purcell, who was previously married to Rebecca Williamson from 1998 until their divorce in 2008.
The source added: ‘Tish wanted to keep their romance under wraps for a little while until she was sure he was The One. However, that didn’t take long, and they’ve been inseparable since. She sees a future with him and feels so blessed they found each other.’

Billy Ray and Tish tied the knot in 1993 and called it quits twice before finally divorcing in 2022.
Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray, citing irreconcilable differences. In the court filings, she noted that they had not ‘cohabited as man and wife for a continuous period of more than two years.’
Before their final divorce, Billy Ray filed divorce papers in October 2010 before dropping the filing in March 2011.
Tish filed her divorce docs in June 2013. The twosome reconciled one month later after attending couples therapy.
The former couple share five children. In addition to megastar Miley, 30, they also have Brandi, 35, Trace, 33, Braison, 28, and Noah, 23.
The blonde beauty and her new beau initially sparked romance rumors after she left a string of heart emojis on his Instagram and wrote, ‘Hi Babe’ in response to one of his posts.

Taking to social media, Purcell supported Wentworth’s recent statement regarding not wanting to return for another season of the popular show.
Purcell’s decision follows Miller’s recent social media message, which the actor made in response to the backlash he received online. He took the opportunity to declare that he would not be back for a sixth season should it ever materialize, as well as explaining his reasons why. “On a related note… I’m out. Of PB. Officially,” he said. “Not bec of static on social media (although that has centered the issue). I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told). So. No more Michael. If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons… I understand this is disappointing. I’m sorry.
