Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 Review Is Kuroi Safe?
Gojo decides to take Riko back to Jujutsu High as it is the safest option. Suguru Geto agrees with Gojo and suggests that they take Shoko along to impersonate Riko, as the kidnappers likely want a hostage exchange. Riko rejects their plan and chooses to tag along with them.
Gojo and Suguru easily defeat the curse users holding Kuroi hostage. Gojo decides to let Riko enjoy the rest of her days and the group (Shoko, Suguru, Kuroi) go on a mini vacation. Riko spends her last days enjoying as much as she can and bonds well with Gojo.
After their trip ends, Gojo and Suguru are back at Jujutsu High with Riko Amanai. They are about to escort her to Master Tengen when all of a sudden, Gojo is stabbed through his chest.
Yep, it’s Toji Fushiguro. Gojo is surprised that he was not able to detect any cursed energy and he least expected someone to attack him within the school’s premise. Gojo asks Suguru to take Riko to Master Tengen while he fights the assassin.
Gojo realises that the reason why he could not detect Fushiguro’s Cursed Energy is because of Toji’s heavenly restriction which grants him incomprehensible strength. Toji uses a special grade cursed tool, Inverted Spear of Heaven and dismantles Gojo’s defense and manages to stab him. Before Gojo could do anything, he penetrates the knife even deeper and Gojo falls to the floor.
During the fight scene, it is revealed that Fushiguro had previously met Gojo when he was very young. Gojo, who has the ability of the Six Eyes, was the only person who ever detected Toji’s presence.
Suguru Geto before taking her to Master Tengen’s secret lair, offers her a choice. He tells Riko that before meeting her, Gojo and him had agreed that no matter what choice she made, they would make sure she is safe. Riko breaks down and decides that she does not want to merge with Master Tengen and live her days out.
All of a sudden, the sound of gunshot echoes in the air. Riko Amanai is shot by none other than Toji Fushiguro. Geto is surprised that Toji is here who tells him that Gojo is Dead. On hearing this, Geto unleashes his strongest curses on Toji and the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
