Insomniacs After School Season 1: What We Know So Far
Ganta Nakami, a resident of the small city of Nanao, is an insomniac who often seeks refuge in his school’s abandoned astronomical observatory for some rest. One day, he meets Isaki Magari, a friendly and easy-going girl who also struggles with insomnia. Despite their initial awkwardness, they become friends and work together to revive their school’s neglected astronomy club.
Insomniacs After School Season 2 Plot: Two lives tangled in one
The series is very similar to Skip and Loafer and Blue period. The two kids find each other in different scenarios and let their dreams and imagination follow them into a sound sleep.
The series centers around Nakami, a high school student who struggles with insomnia. One day, while attempting to catch some rest in the school’s deserted observatory, he encounters Magari, who also has difficulty sleeping. Their shared battle against sleeplessness brings them together, and they develop a friendship that blossoms into a romantic relationship. It seems like the series is following a familiar path focused on hobbies, as we explore the world of night photography. Nakami is persuaded to participate in a national competition for astronomy photography.
After school, Nakami is more focused on how his new hobby of photography is affecting him personally. It’s helping him become more open with others, especially Magari, and he’s starting to see the world in a fresh way despite his struggles with insomnia. He often takes pictures of Magari because her enthusiasm always catches his attention.
Both the kids confide each other with most intimate stuff like the girl having a heart condition and boy dealing with anxiety and stress of his mother leaving him and his father.
