Good Omens Season 2: Release date
Neil Gaiman confirmed the start of filming in October 2021 with a tweet. He wrote: “I don’t know who painted that quote from ‘Good Omens’ Season 1 on the exit door of the studio. I don’t even want to know. I just love that when I left the studio today after our first day of shooting, that quote was waiting to greet us back in the outside world.”

In June 2021, Gaiman, author of the book and executive producer and showrunner of the series, shared on Twitter that “Good Omens” will get a 2nd season. When season 2 will be released on Amazon Prime Video has not been determined at this time. Season 2 will include a total of six episodes.

“It’s been 31 years since Good Omens was released, which means it’s been 32 years since Terry Pratchett and I were in our respective beds in a Seattle hotel room at a World Fantasy Convention planning the sequel,” Gaiman said in a statement, as reported by U.S. magazine TVLine.
“I used parts of the sequel in ‘Good Omens’ – that’s where our angels come from. Terry’s not around anymore, but when he was, we had talked about what we wanted to do with ‘Good Omens’ and where we wanted the story to go next. And now, thanks to BBC Studios and Amazon, I get to take it there,” Gaiman continued.
Good Omens Season 2: Plot
In Season 2, Crowley and Erziraphael encounter an angel with no memory in London’s Soho neighborhood and are confronted with a mystery.
Amazon’s official description for Season 2 states, “The new season will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material. It will shed light on the uncanny friendship between Erziraphael, a picky angel and dealer in rare books, and the fast-moving demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since the beginning and thwarted by the apocalypse, Erziraphael and Crowley are back to living normally among mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising secret.”
Good Omens and Anansi Boys
Fans are doubly pleased, because in addition to the 2nd season of “Good Omens”, “Anansi Boys”, the next work of Neil Gaiman has also been announced on Amazon Prime Video. Although the new series is explicitly not a spin-off of “Good Omens”, it is nevertheless anchored in its universe. Gaiman also wrote the novel “Anansi Boys,” which can be read as a sequel to his work “Good Omens.”
