The series is based on the novel “The Throne of the Desert Planet” (“Sisterhood of Dune”) by Brian Herbert, the son of “Dune” creator Frank Herbert and his co-writer Kevin J. Anderson.

The book tells of the Harkonnen sisters, Tula and Valya, who help found the fabled order of the Sisterhood of Bene Gesserit. Under cover of the jungle planet Rossak, they forge an intrigue that could change the fate of humanity forever.
