Depp v. Heard Episode 2′ focused more on the aftermath of the trial, especially, the impact it had on ‘Amber Heard’. The limited series which is available on Netflix is directed by Emmy and BAFTA Nominee, Emma Cooper. 

Depp v. Heard is a documentary series that follows the trial proceedings between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in Fairfax County Courthouse, Virginia. Episode 1 focused on the events that led to them pressing defamation charges against each other.

Depp v. Heard Episode 2: Amber Heard

The limited series which contains footage from the trial along with views of the public is based on the defamation cases between the former married couple, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The trial which was live-streamed in 2022, was one of the most famous events from that year. 

The main emphasis was on Amber Heard in this episode and her testimony about the events that took place after their divorce in 2016. Amber talked more about all the factors that drove to her write the op-ed in ‘The Washington Post’.

The pair were also subject to an online trial, with millions of users talking about them on Twitter, Tik-Tok, and other platforms. The majority of the users were in support of the actor from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.

Depp v. Heard Episode 2: Australia

A key takeaway from this episode was the post-marriage incident that happened in Australia. While having a heated altercation, Depp claimed that Amber Heard through a vodka bottle in his direction which resulted in his finger getting severed. 

Amber denied this allegation, but she was subjected to more than just a court trial. Amber became subject to an online trial with millions of users in support of Johnny Depp. Despite the outcome of the trial, Depp had won public opinion. 

A lot of online content creators profited a lot from the footage of the trial proceedings. Compilation videos and meme edits were trending but this also led to a lot of misinformation being spread, which resulted in Amber being at the receiving end of the hate.

Depp v. Heard Episode 2: The Jury

The Jury when they walked into the courtroom was unaware of the fact that they were proceeding Depp v. Heard. The Depp v. Heard Episode 2 raised a key point that in today’s world, the jury could have been easily influenced by online content. 

The Jury decides on what has been presented in court and not on the matter of who is right or wrong. Many fans claimed that the Jury should have been sequestered. Regardless, fans know the outcome of the trial. 

Depp v. Heard Episode 2 was an intense episode that focused on the aftermath that Amber Heard faced online.
